Diaphragmatic hernia. Anterior segment of a coronal section of the thorax and abdomen, showing a left. From a newly born female. The heart is displaced to the right. The left half of the diaphragm is defective and the small intestine, the left lobe of the liver and the great omentum extend into the left thoracic cavity. The liver is malformed, its left lobe being elongated and directed cephalically.
