- Pregnancy, uterus of 3 months, laid open to show foetus in situ in association with multiple fibromyomata. The foetus has been decapitated to show that part of the amniotic cavity and the membranes bulge through the slightly dilated os uteri. Successfully removed by subtotal hysterectomy from a primigravida aet 32. She had been married for seven months and after three months amenorrhoea complained of frequently recurring abdominal pain. Her temperature rose to 102.4 and pulse to 120 and this feverish condition had lasted for over a week previous to operation.
