Scapula with acromion fracture
GC.5531
Right scapula bone with part of the clavicle showing recent fracture of the acromion, from a male aged 33 years whose right arm was caught by machinery in a paper-mill and avulsed from the shoulder joint. An uninterrupted recovery followed interscapulothoracic amputation.
The fracture has passed obliquely through the acromion close to the lateral border of the spine of the scapula and two fissures pass from the fracture a short distance along the posterior border of the spine.
