Dissection a male urethra
GC.11914
Dissection of the prostatic, membranous and bulbous portions of a male urethra.
The seminal vesicles have been injected with mercury and a wooden plug is inserted into the prostatic utricle, and on either side of it a fine bristle has been passed into each ejaculatory duct. The membranous urethra forms a somewhat narrow passage between the prostatic and the bulbous portions. The internal pudendal arteries have been injected and on either side the artery to the bulb shows the vascularity of this portion of the urethra. On the right side the bulbo-urethral gland and its duct have been injected, a bristle has been passed underneath the duct and another bristle indicates the opening of the duct into the bulbous urethra.
