- Oil painting on panel. The expressive faces of the three figures clearly show their different reactions to the extraction of a tooth. The patient's suffering is evident, as is the deep concentration of the tooth drawer, and the marked interest of the spectator. The spectacles, attire and forceps portrayed suggest a scene of the late eighteenth century.
