- Suture inserter
- @GAD
- A suture inserter is used to help move the skin of a cleft palate across, to form the bottom of the nostril and top of the lip. The hole in the top of the inserter is threaded with nylon so that the doctor can stitch up the newly formed lip. Essentially it is used as a needle. It has markings on the side that states, Young.
