Wax cast of the face showing syphilitic effects on the eyelids There is bilateral cicatricial ectropion of the eyelids, where the eyelids have turned outwards. In an adult with acquired syphilis. The forehead is lumpy and irregular from syphilitic gummatous osteitis. Cicatrices have followed gummata about orbits and there seems to be gummatous destruction with ectropion of the right upper eyelid and cicatricial contraction with ectropion of both left eyelids
