Humerus, fracture, deformed unity
GC.7890
An adult left humerus, showing a fracture of the proximal diaphysis united with some deformity.
The fracture has passed obliquely posteriorly and distally from just distal to the anterior aspect of the surgical neck. The distal fragment has been displaced anteriorly with some shortening. The apex of the proximal fragment has united with the posterior surface of the diaphysis and proximally the space between the fragments has become bridged over by new bone having a number of comparatively large deficiencies. The smaller tubercle is more concave and rough than usual and the intertubercular groove is somewhat irregular.
