- Paraboloid Condensor, c.1900-1915 made by Carl Ziess Jena manufacturers. The Paraboloid Condensor is one part of a microscope used in Dark Field Microscopy. Also called dark-ground microscopy, which exclude the unscattered beam from the image. Due to this, the field surrounding the specimen is dark, where there is no specimen to catter the beam.
