- Oil painting on white metal. After the painting by David Teniers the younger (1610-1690) whose is known for his small genre works influenced by Rubens. The montebank triumphantly holds an instrument bearing the molar tooth he has just extracted from a young man. The patient clutches at his jaw in pain. There are several instruments on display including, an hourglass, ointment jars, spatula, medicine bottles, and a pouch of dental tools.
