- M.I.E.Ltd (Manufacturer)
- Black rubber face mask with a hole at top where tubing would be attached (mount is missing). Moulded to fit over the nose and mouth, though the shape is now distorted. At the chin portion there is a small label reading 'Everseal' and a diamond shaped label reading 'Anti Static, MIE LTD, Regd Des No.868449' The MIE everseal mask is particularly interesting as it had an innovative design that provided a significantly better airtight seal than its predecessors. It was designed by MIE Ltd in 1953 from an oxygen facemask developed by the Royal Aircraft Establishment for the first successful British Everest expedition.
