Case, Instrument (Restorative)
HC.J.9.X.23
Fitted smooth-grained dark green morocco covered case containing six instruments with ivory octagonal handles. Lid has decorative border frames on it with an oval metal plate. Late nineteenth-century.
Case lined with ochre velvet and red trim around the case. All metal shafts taper into their different tips:
2 have a curved flat hook end. 2 have a diamond chisel tip. 2 have a perpendicular teardrop shaped tip.
Case may not be original to the set, as one instrument doesn't seem to fit in it.
For removing salivary calculus.
Nineteenth century, late
