7 x phials of catgut suture materials. Of these 7 phials - 5 contain 20day sutures, 1 contains a 28/20day Hagedorns half curved Needle (No.10) and the last has a 28/20day Intest straight needle (No.8). Manufactured by G.F Merson, Edinburgh, in the latter months of 1943 and was acquired from Mr W.Drummond. Used to keep wounds closed mainly after a surgery.
