Cysts from the epididymis
GC.5245
Wet specimens.
Multiple cysts from the epididymis.Removed by operation from a male aged 52 years in whom the cystic mass was in relation to the head of the epididymis. The contents of the cyst were clear and transparent and there were no spermatozoa in the fluid.
The mass forms a lobulated multilocular tumour. The cysts seem to cluster round a central fibrous stem. The walls of the cysts, composed of fibrous tissue, are so thin as to be translucent each cyst wall is lined and grooved by thicker bands of fibrous tissue which give additional support to the will and are in relation to the blood supply.
