Resembles the 'davier' type favoured by early XVIIIth century surgeons. one of the handles is straight and the other bends at the top of the handle, the object number is inscribed on the inside of the handle. the claws are unsymmetrical, one of the claws curves heavily, the other is straight. both the claws are bifercated.
