- Stainless steel Milne Murray Axis Traction Forceps, mid-20th century. The axis traction rods were designed to apply traction to a baby's head high in the pelvis, allowing the forceps blades to move more naturally along the pelvic curve. No makers marks visible but the one handle marked 'first'.
