- Young's forceps. Forceps introduced by Young who was Professor of Midwifery in Edinburgh University from 1756-1780. They are a modification of Johnson's forceps, but do not have a leather covering. Edinburgh 1784. The maker 'Still' is inscribed on the outside handles.
