Box of amputating knives

A set of 5 knives used by doctors and surgeons for amputations. Only four slots available in case so one knife is loose. Three of the knives have R.H.S.C.E inscribed on the handle. Knives have a range of stamps on them, 2 say, J. Gardner and Son Edinburgh 1 has no markings. 1 has markings but it is unlegable 1. has Mathieu Box says Gardner Edinburgh.
