- Two trusses, the first is of Turkish pattern, locally made and the other is of a more primitive type. They are from Aden, a seaport city in Yemen. A truss is a supportive device, usually with a supportive area [in this case, the wooden block] worn to prevent enlargement of hernia or the return of a reduced hernia.
