- Wet specimens in a glass jar. Nineteen loose bodies from a left knee joint. Removed by arthrotomy from a 29 year old woman whose trouble with her knee had commenced eight years previously after a fall at a skating rink. Recurrent effusion with occasional pain had increased in frequency and severity during some years. The fibrocartilaginous loose bodies are all more or less spherical slightly nodular and present numerous indentations and excavations.
