Tooth-brush holder (Britannia metal) with 5 holes at each end for ventilation. Joseph J. F. Lemaire (1782-1834) illustrated, Traite sur les Dents (1822), a double-ended tooth-brush which could coveniently fit into this type of container. Possibly early nineteenth century.
