- Specimen and three histology slides. The ramus and right half of the body of an adult mandible showing an epithelial odontome. With the exception of the 2nd radar which appears to have been recently extracted all the teeth are present and in perfect condition. From the level of the 1st molar the posterior portion of the body of the mandible and about half of the ramus is regularly swollen both facially and lingually. Incision on its facial aspect posteriorly shows the structure to be cystic with fibrous septa and irregular masses of epithelium in the interior of the dilated portion.
