Wet specimen. Right half of the tongue with the right submandibular salivary gland and the right half of the body of the mandible and portion of the right ramus, showing a squamous-cell carcinoma of the floor of the mouth.
Removed by operation from an adult male.
The right central and lateral incisor teeth, the canine and the first premolar remain in this half of the mandible. Between the mandible and the tongue, involving medially the tongue and laterally the gum, a warty, irregular tumour protrudes from the floor of the mouth.
