- Specimen and Histological Glass Slide x3 Clinical history: From a male aged 44 who developed a rash, chest infection and anorexia 3 months before his death. These cleared but were followed by severe abdominal pain flitting to various parts of the abdomen and by development of severe hypertension accompanied by retinal changes, and by microscopic haematuria. Hypotensive drugs and steroids were given but he developed a fatal Gram-ve septicaemia. Description of specimen: Testis - Infarction (polyarteritis). The testis is a bit below average size and shows discolouration and pallor as the result of infarction caused by polyarteritic involvement of major testicular vessels.
