- Bladder calculus
- GC.7221
- Bladder calculus From a male aged 7 years, a delicate child with a history of many illnesses who, when three years old, had a calculus obstruction of the urethra, the calculus being removed with difficulty. Calculous urethral obstruction recurred eighteen months later. Six months ago he had diurnal dysuria and frequency, but never haematuria. A fortnight ago a small calculus blocked the urethra. It was easily crushed and removed. This did not, however, relieve the vesical symptoms. By suprapubic cystotomy a calculus weighing 12 gm, was removed. The calculus is oval measuring 37 mm. in length by 15 mm. in maximum breadth. It is highly crystalline and since removal has assumed a green tint which is said to be a characteristic of cystin calculi.
